Toddler Room
Toddler Room (15-24 months)
Staff/Child Ratio 1:5; Maximum class size: 10
The Toddler Room offers the next level of structure in the daily routine, guiding children through more regular and frequent activities than in the Waddler Room. Toddlers have a regular meal and snack time (served in the classroom), and generally have one nap time in the afternoon (following lunch). Throughout the course of the day, they gather as a group for reading of books (current favorite is Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle), music time, and Bible stories. They are introduced to colors, shapes, and counting through a variety of play and learning experiences.
They spend time daily in our Indoor Play Area, and on our conveniently located outdoor playground (as weather permits). They enjoy adventuring both inside and outside of the building in the “Bye Bye Buggy”, seeing the sights and singing songs. The Toddler Room is led by Holly Nalley and Cortney DeLong, who have been teaching as a part of our team for 7 years total.
